Jeremy Drake

Principal

Jeremy Drake is a Zero Waste consultant with over 10 years of experience in community Zero Waste planning, project management, program design and implementation, collection system procurement, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, and education. He is a systems thinker, data analyst, and cultural change agent who thrives on helping communities and institutions move toward Zero Waste.

Based in Missoula, Montana, Jeremy helped initiate the grassroots push that resulted in adoption of the City of Missoula's ZERO by FIFTY goal and was the lead architect and author of the ZERO by FIFTY: Missoula's Pathway to Zero Waste Plan. He facilitated a ZERO by FIFTY planning process with Missoula County Public Schools and spearheaded several educational initiatives including ZWAP!, the Home ReSource Zero Waste Ambassadors Program for 5th graders, zerobyfiftymissoula.com, and Missoula's Fixit Clinics, among others. He received the 2017 Climate Smart Missoula Catalyst of Change Award for his Zero Waste work and the 2018 Montana Environmental Educators Award for ZWAP!.

Jeremy holds a Professional Certification in Resource Management, from the California Resource Recovery Association and a MA in Urban Sustainability, from Antioch Los Angeles. He is a board member of the National Recycling Coalition and a Zero Waste Associate with Zero Waste USA, the national affiliate of the Zero Waste International Alliance. Jeremy represents Zero Waste USA on the CPR Campaign to Resuscitate the Climate.
